As soon as you are safe, immediately call the international roadside assistance service applicable to your vehicle.
Step-by-step plan
- Ensure your safety first
- Contact international roadside assistance immediately
- Wait for the breakdown service or tow truck
- Follow the instructions from the assistance provider (repair or replacement vehicle)
- Keep all documents and evidence
- Inform your leasing company and Mobilitypower
Additional information
- Put the vehicle in a safe place, wear your reflective vest, and place the warning triangle.
- If possible, stand behind the crash barrier. In case of emergency, call 112 (the single emergency number within the EU).
- Find the international assistance number in your mobility policy, this portal, or the vehicle’s documents. Provide your licence plate, exact location, and description of the issue. Mention that it is a lease vehicle and that you may need a replacement. Also indicate whether the car is still drivable.
- Not sure where you are? Use Google Maps to share your exact location or GPS coordinates.
- The assistance service sends a local partner to your location. They will try to repair the car on site (e.g., flat tyre, battery issue, minor defect). If this is not possible, the vehicle will be towed to an approved foreign garage or safe depot.
- The assistance service coordinates the transport directly with the leasing company; you do not need to pay anything yourself unless the leasing company explicitly communicates otherwise.
- Ask the assistance provider when your vehicle will be available again so you know whether you need a replacement car or another mobility solution.
- Tip: Write down the case number given by the assistance provider and keep all documentation and receipts in case reimbursement is required.
- Inform the leasing company and Mobilitypower as soon as possible through one of the available contact channels.
