Usually yes within the EU, but not automatically everywhere. Always check your insurance documents, roadside assistance coverage, and request a foreign travel authorisation from your leasing company before departure. For some countries, prior approval is mandatory; otherwise, coverage for damage or theft may be void. If you plan to stay abroad for a longer period, you must also inform Mobilitypower.
Step-by-step plan
- Many leasing partners and employers require you to report foreign travel, especially for long distances or multi-day trips. Request this at least one week in advance via Mobilitypower.
- Check your green card to see which countries are covered (non-covered ones are crossed out).
- Check whether your roadside assistance is valid internationally.
Additional information
- Some leasing companies and/or insurers prohibit travel to certain countries for insurance or logistical reasons. If you plan such a trip, you must obtain written approval. Without it, damage or theft in that country may not be covered.
- Ensure that the name of the leasing company (owner) and your name as driver clearly match the travel authorisation.
