Yes, as the driver you must take the car to the inspection yourself. A garage or dealer will not do this for you.

- Schedule your own appointment
- Prepare the documents and the vehicle
- Go to the inspection centre yourself and mention “lease vehicle”
- After the inspection: keep the certificate and take any required actions
- Cost handling (usually via the leasing company) / possible reimbursement

- General guideline: first inspection usually 4 years after first registration, then annually.
- Note: the invitation is sent to the owner (the leasing company). In most cases they send a notification, but the final responsibility lies with the driver. Fines are therefore always at the employee’s expense.
- Standard: payment by the leasing company (direct invoicing or inspection voucher).
- Book online/by phone at an approved inspection station or join the queue without appointment (watch out for waiting times!).
- Tip: some inspection centres provide live images online so you can monitor the queue.
- Bring: registration certificate, insurance certificate (green card), C.O.C. (certificate of conformity), invitation (if received).
- Minimum vehicle check tip: lights, wipers/washer fluid, tyre tread & pressure, licence plates present and legible. Don’t forget to keep the following within reach: valid fire extinguisher, warning triangle, hi-vis vest in the vehicle.
- At the counter, say that it is a lease vehicle and show any inspection voucher.
- Keep the inspection certificate and, if applicable, the sticker in the vehicle.
- Remark/rejection? Immediately book a repair appointment and plan a re-inspection within the imposed deadline.
- For a timely, regular inspection you generally do not pay as a driver. If you did pay, you may submit the receipt via the leasing company. If that doesn’t work, inform Mobilitypower. If you receive a fine for a late inspection, the cost will most likely be charged to you.
