If you do not agree with a deducted (recharged) fine, report this immediately in writing to the leasing company, including evidence and an explanation.
Step-by-step
- First check the fine and the accompanying documents.
- Gather evidence to support your objection.
- Submit a written objection to the leasing company on time and, if requested, also to the issuing authority.
- If a correction is confirmed, the recharge will be adjusted after the credit note has been received.
Additional information
If you have not yet received it, request a copy of the fine, including the date, location, and offence. Verify that the vehicle and time match your usage. Note: only the leasing company or the authority has access to this information.
Consider photos, route data, parking tickets, proof of payment, etc. that show you did not commit the offence or that an error was made.
Send a well-reasoned email to your leasing company to dispute the fine. If required, also lodge an objection with the authority that issued the fine so a formal review can take place.
If the deduction proves to be unjustified, the leasing company will issue a credit note to your employer and the deduction on your side will be reversed.
